Greetings from the Health Policies and Standards Department



In accordance with the DHA’s continuous effort to elevate the level of care in the Emirate of Dubai and to ensure alignment with the sector needs, local and international trends, you are cordially invited to take part in the following survey on Traditional, Complimentary, and Integrative Medicine Services (TCIM) in Dubai.

• Traditional, Complimentary, and Alternative Medicine (TCAM) is an approach to promote, treat and manage health with holistic, traditional/ nature-based approach distinct to mainstream medicine.


• Traditional, Complimentary, and Integrative Medicine (TCIM) refers to an interdisciplinary and evidence-based approach to health by using a combination of biomedical, traditional and/or complementary medical knowledge, skills and practices


• In this survey, TCAM and TCIM will be used interchangeably to refer to any Traditional, Complementary, Alternative or Integrative Medicine services and professionals.
